It's back-to-school season again. September is  always full of too much joy and warm enthusiasm! On the early morning of 2nd September, we ushered in the opening ceremony of the fall semester of 2019 in the great expectations of all the teachers and students.
At 7.30 A.M., all the teachers and students from Anqing Foreign Language School's Junior High Department of the west campus gathered on the playground. The opening ceremony lifted the curtain after the solemn flag-raising ceremony. Principal Assistant Lu Dan, Director Hu Qilin of the west campus, Director Sun Yijun with the Personnel Department, Director Zhang Li with the Teaching Department, Director Wang Shengxiang with the Moral Education Department and other leaders attended the School Opening Day. Meanwhile, students Zhang Yu and Yesi Jingying are the Chinese and English hosts of the ceremony.
First of all, student representative Zhao Xinyu gave a speech, expressing the freshmen's beautiful vision for the study and life in junior high school.
Second of all, student Yesi Jingying from Class 12, Grade 8 made a speech, which showcased the earnest learning attitude and outstanding comprehensive quality of Anqing Foreign Language School's students.
Third of all, teacher representative Liu Yao made a speech and put forward several suggestions for students in the new semester to encourage everyone to march forward and achieve their ideals.
Fourth of all, Principal Assistant Lu Dan delivered a keynote speech in which he encouraged all the teachers and students to learn from the past, carry forward the excellent traditions of Anqing Foreign Language School, forge ahead, not to be afraid of hardships and strive to create a new future.
Last but not the least, Director Hu Qilin hosted the award ceremony and school leaders presented certificates for the merit students, outstanding student leaders, advanced classes at municipal level from last semester as well as students who won first-class scholarship in the 2018-2019 academic year. Then, students who won first-class scholarship wore ribbons and joined hands with their parents to receive the prizes on stage in passionate award music, which brought the atmosphere to a climax!
In summary, the whole ceremony was full of warmth and applause... From the shining eyes of all the teachers and students, we can truly feel the confidence and determination of each staff for the future. As the saying goes: no struggle, no youth! Therefore, let us join hands, brave the wind and the waves to realize a win-win tomorrow!
